Children & Families

The key to reflecting your family and it's special bond is to think creatively with the emphasis on fun! Having had 3 little ones under 5, I know how hectic life can be. There will be time, during the shoot, for nappy changes, snacks and breaks, it's my priority that the children have a nice time and don't get fed up. And for the teenagers, it might not be their idea of heaven on a Saturday morning, but with a bit of encouragement and humour, I have not yet failed to get some shots full of character! What is essential is to show individual personality, so that when you view your gallery, you recognise those expressions that are typical and make you smile. So often, in school photographs, for example, parents feel that the portrait doesn't resemble their child. So for this reason, I try and photograph people doing what they like to do, be it playing the guitar, headphones on or skateboarding. And for the little ones, 'helping' in the kitchen, talking to teddies or building a camp at the bottom of the garden are all part of telling the story of a childhood that flies by too fast. Using some of your favourite spaces, means that your images won't look like any of my other clients' images. They'll be personal to you and your family, in your home. The cost of the session is from £195 which includes a 10x8 print and an online private gallery of the best of all your images.

"The child must know that he is a miracle, that since the beginning of the world there hasn't been, and until the end of the world there will not be, another child like him." Pablo Casals
